Turbo Granny Can't Catch Him: k.da.boy Cosplays Okarun at MomoCon
k.da.boy brings Dandadan's Okarun to MomoCon with co-cosplayer yo_its_drea_ — skull mask on, alien energy activated, captured by @geekykokopuff.

Dandadan has one of the wildest energy signatures in recent anime — part kaiju horror, part rom-com, entirely unhinged — and @k.da.boy brings that energy into the real world with an Okarun cosplay at MomoCon that's exactly as chaotic and committed as the character deserves. Paired with @yo_its_drea_, these two are keeping the Dandadan fandom alive and loud on the con circuit.

Okarun — Ken Takakura before he becomes something considerably more complicated — is a fascinating cosplay subject because the character design evolves dramatically across the series. The school uniform base gives cosplayers a clean entry point, and the skull motif and supernatural energy that defines his transformed states add layers that reward creative interpretation. @k.da.boy's take leans into the character's otherworldly side, and it lands.

The photos were shot by @geekykokopuff at MomoCon — a long-running Atlanta convention with a reputation for producing some of the best candid and staged cosplay photography in the Southeast circuit. For anyone who hasn't fallen into Dandadan yet and wants to understand why this fandom is so dedicated, Wikipedia's Dandadan overview is the quickest way in before you start the manga and lose three hours.

Follow @k.da.boy, @yo_its_drea_, and @geekykokopuff for more. Turbo Granny can't catch them.
