Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Will Shikamaru's Plan Work?

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Will Shikamaru's Plan Work?

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will soon return with the new monthly upgrade, and if we believe some of the sneak peeks in recent days, many developments will occur surrounding our characters. Boruto is currently on the sidelines, waiting for an opportunity to strike, while his former teammates in Team 7 have to accomplish 'a field mission'—they' need to deceive the shinjus.

Shikamaru's plan is in Motion

We all know that Shikamaru is one of the, if not the, most brilliant minds in the Ninja World. His intellect is unmatched, and his tactical prowess is admirable, but will it work against the powerful foes as Shinjus? In the previous chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Shinjus Ryū and Matsuri are on their way to try and find Boruto, who is in hiding due to Koji's foreseen future—he needs to stay safe to save the whole Ninja World.

This is why Team 7 is doing their best to accomplish their part of the mission—they're trying to stop these two Shinjus and remove them from the 'equation.' With Konohamaru at the helm, Shikamaru's plan is in motion, and he's trying to use Matsuri's strange affection for him to defeat the powerful beings. Will that work? Well, if we believe looking into Kishimoto's track record, probably not.

Will the Plan Work?

Will Shikamaru's brilliant plan work? Probably not, because Boruto has been too long on the sidelines, and because Masashi Kishimoto likes his 'swooping hero saves the day moves.' In the context of this plotline, this trope might even be a good thing, because we will see that Shinjus are more than they presented themselves to us—they are actually quite intelligent and manipulative.

It seems that Konohamaru's efforts to 'seduce' Matsuri will backfire and that we will see a proper fight between the Sarutobi heir and the female Shinju, one born from his childhood friend, Moegi. On the other side of Sunagakure, Sarada and Mitsuki will probably be caught off guard by Ryū, the one 'born' from Shinki, and that fight will most certainly be epic in all its glory.

Kawaki and Amado

While Team 7 is trying to contain Shinjus, Kawaki is in Konohagakure looking for Amado to answer his questions. Kawaki decided to hunt for Amado after his talk with Boruto and his adopted brother's claim that the scientist is keeping his powers limited. The adopted son of Naruto will try his best to ensure he gets his full powers, but Amado is more than a scientist—he's a manipulative and intelligent man who has his own goals and will not let anyone get the better of him.

There is a possibility of Sumire being involved in the whole conflict as well, since she's working with Amado, but that particular storyline will certainly prove to be interesting in the long run—will Kawaki reach his full power, or will Amado use his scientific tools to contain them once again?

Conclusion: More Mess that Will Lead Boruto to Act

What we can expect in the upcoming Boruto chapter is certainly action and a very messy situation that will lead Boruto to act and go against Shinjus. After learning that Koji knows about the result of this mission, Boruto is anxious as he waits for Shikamaru's plan to work. However, Koji's vague recounting of the vision of the future will prove to be right, despite him telling Boruto to wait and see what will happen with his former team. Koji banks on their momentary failure and waits to unleash Boruto from the sidelines.

Definitely something to look forward to from the newest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
