Shōnen fans can rejoice because we got a new trailer for Wind Breakers season 2, which will return on air this Spring, specifically, on April 3rd. This particular season will focus on the 'Keel arc', the third story arc of the manga series. Moreover, the preview of the ending theme song is revealed, titled 'It's Myself' by rock band shytaupe, with the announcement of a new cast member of the show, Junya Enoki, who will portray Shingo Natori.
The Season 2 Premiere Is On Air This Spring
After the successful first season, Aniplex soon announced another season of the popular shōnen series Wind Breakers, which follows the journey of Sakura Hakura, who wants to become the strongest person in his town by challenging other high school delinquents in combat. The series has quite a unique story, and its popularity from manga translated to anime as well. The second season of the Wind Breakers will premiere this Spring on April the 3rd and it will follow the 'Keel arc', a story that will showcase Furin High School and their fight against strong delinquents.
According to Anime News Network, the series will be aired on multiple streaming platforms, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, U-Next, and other streaming platforms in Japan. It's worth mentioning that there will be an early screening of Wind Breakers season 2 on March 29th in United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo.
Story Arc That Will Determine the Path of the Series
The 'Keel Arc' of Wind Breakers serves as a test of Sakura's strength and leadership of Bofurin's Vaisravana Unit at Furin High School. Without revealing spoilers of the manga series, Sakura and his closest allies establish themselves as strong characters who need to go even further to prove their power in Makochi. Of course, the story arc presents Bofurin with new and skilled enemies that will try and make their lives miserable.
Of course, there are many story arcs of Wind Breakers due to the manga series having over 180 chapters, but the 'Keel Arc', if we judge on the trailer, seems like an amazing continuation of the anime series.
What is Wind Breakers About?
In a school where strength reigns supreme, only the toughest survive. Furin High is notorious—not for academics, but for its students, delinquents who use their power to protect the town from those who threaten it. But one newcomer has no interest in heroics. Haruka Sakura cares only about strength—the weak are nothing to him. As he enters Furin High, he sees only one path forward: fight his way to the top and claim his place as the strongest. He doesn’t need allies, nor does he seek glory. All that matters is proving his power, no matter who stands in his way.
