Navigating the Next Phase: Boruto’s Path in Two Blue Vortex

Masashi Kishimoto continues his saga of a Gutsy Ninja, this time through his son Boruto Uzumaki, who finds himself in a very peculiar situation—he is alone against the world. With everyone thinking he is a murderer of his parents, Boruto needs to break through this incredibly hard situation but also defeat new enemies in Human God Trees. What is Boruto's next step in the next chapters?

Boruto Faces New Foes

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto is faced with new foes in the Human God Trees who are becoming stronger with every minute. With every new victim and imprisoned shinobi, a new shinju is born, expanding the army of these formidable foes. Because of shinju, Boruto needs to put his conflict with Kawaki on the side and focus on saving the Ninja World from these dangerous beings. We still don't know the multitude of their powers, but it seems that shinjus will be the biggest threat we saw so far in the Boruto universe. They share their skills with their 'original' versions, but combining those with Ten-Tails chakra, one could say shinju's powers have the potential to be even greater to Ōtsutsuki clan members.

The reason why we haven't seen the magnitude of their powers is because each of the shinjus is looking for some sort of powerful device—for example, the leader of the shinjus, Jura, is seeking Himawari's Nine-Tails chakra that would unlock his unimaginable potential. Nevertheless, Boruto is facing the most dangerous enemies he has ever stood across, and knowing that all of the world is depending on him puts even more pressure on an Uzumaki heir. Of course, he will need more than Koji to help him defeat these monsters.

Very Few but Valuable Allies

Although there is still speculation why someone like Sumire and Sarada weren't affected by Eida's Omnipotence shinjutsu ability to replace people's memories, these two were two of the first allies to Boruto outside of Koji. Mostly Sarada, who is more useful to Boruto due to her skill as a shinobi. Of course, Koji predicted that happening with his ability to read the future and created a plan that Boruto would need to execute to perfection—use his allies to help him defeat the Human God Trees. Koji decided to convince Shikamaru, the current acting Hokage in Naruto's absence, to help him against formidable foes in shinjus and use his intellect to recruit other people.

In the recent Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, we learn that Shikamaru asked Boruto's former genin team and its members, Mitsuki, Sarada, and Konohamaru, to help Boruto get rid of the two newest-born shinju, Matsuri and Ryū. These 'descendants' of Moegi and Shinki are on their mission to find Boruto, but the dynamic trio, with the help of Suna shinobi, distract the humanoid monsters to split them from each other and eventually beat them. More surprising allies for Boruto consist of Kawaki, who is willing to pause their 'beef' to save everyone, and Eida, who never really showed her devotion to anyone but Kawaki. We'll have to wait and see what will happen in the next monthly Boruto: Two Blue Vortex update, but it seems that Boruto will have to come out of hiding and act.

Conclusion: Patience Is a Virtue or is It?

While his friends are dealing with everything, Boruto is hiding with Koji, waiting for a good moment to act. Of course, this was Koji's plan from the start that Shikamaru designed brilliantly; however, knowing Kishimoto and Ikemoto, we will see Boruto act sooner rather than later, unfortunately for all fans of new Team 7. We already know that fans aren't really satisfied with the way the characters of Konohamaru and Sarada are handled by Boruto creators, mostly acting like 'damsels in distress' waiting for someone to help them instead of actually using their skills as shinobi.

Koji constantly tells Boruto not to act and to wait for his friends to do their part of the plan regardless of the endgame—there is a possibility of them dying in battle. Boruto shows concern for his former master and friends and anger due to not being able to act and help them, which hints at someone messing up the plan and forcing Boruto to act, ultimately complicating things. Now, let's hope it's two Suna shinobi that mess up everything, but hopefully we will finally see Sarada, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru at their full power, showcasing their skills and ultimately proving enough against shinjus in Matsuri and Ryū. Boruto's path toward peace is complicated and a hard path that will prove to be crucial in saving the Ninja World.
