Ranking Spring 2025’s Must-Watch Anime

Dora Naletilić

The winter season is done and we had some amazing anime series debuting or continuing their story like Dr.Stone, The Apothecary Diaries, and more, but this upcoming Spring seems so much more exciting due to returning series and some that we will see for the first time on our screens. This is our ranking of the most anticipated anime series of Spring 2025.

The Beginning After the End

The Beginning After the End is originally a web novel series that was first serialized in 2017 by Yen Press and now we're getting an anime adaptation that will debut this Spring. The series follows Arthur Lewin, a reincarnated king who gets a second chance after being resurrected in a world that is filled with magic and monsters. This series is one of the more hyped anime adaptations due to its popular source material, so definitely keep attention around April for its debut episode.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

One of the most popular anime series in the last two decades will adapt its prequel and spin-off series into anime and it will arrive during Spring of 2025. The series takes place around five years before the happenings of the main series, this time with Koichi Haimawari in the focus, a young man who uses his Quirk to help others despite not having a Hero license. Something to look forward to for No Hero Academia Fans who are waiting for the last season to conclude this series.

Witch Watch

Witch Watch is a popular fantasy and romance comedy manga series that has been published by Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The series follows Nico Wakatsuki, a teenage witch who after finishing her studies moves in with her human-ogre friend, Morihito Otogi. Of course, the main heroine develops a crush on her childhood friend but first needs to deal with supernatural and magical threats that are stopping her from fully pursuing Morihito. A cool series for the younger generation, as it is a classic shonen series.

Your Forma

Your Forma was originally a light novel that got its own manga series and now it will debut its first episode of anime series in the upcoming weeks. The story is set in a dystopian society that closely resembles Big Brother - everything is being recorded and surveilled by Your Forma, a special device. The series focuses on Echika Hieda, a prodigiousElectronic Investigatorand her partner Harold, a newly assigned partner who will help her expose this intrusive device and the secrets behind its existence. A very Psycho-Pass-coded anime series that has huge potential.

Wind Breaker (Season 2)

Wind Breaker series was quite popular when it first came out and now we will get a second season which will once again follow students of Furin High School, a place where strong and strange brutes are solving their issues with violence. Some of the students formed a group called Bofurin, who vowed to protect the town from criminals. The main protagonist Haruka Sakura is a new transfer who wants to showcase his strength and be the strongest student of this infamous high school.

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level (Season 2)

Another isekai series on this list is I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, at first a light novel series turned manga which was really popular among the fans. The first season was decently received and now we're waiting for the second one that will once again focus on the main protagonist of the series, Azusa. After she dies of exhaustion by overworking herself as an officer worker on Earth, Azusa reincarnates into an undying, unaging witch who just wants to laze around the whole day. This series was probably one of the more popular isekai series of last year, so it's definitely worth checking it out when it comes out in April.

Fire Force (Season 3)

One of the most anticipated shonen anime series is definitely Fire Force, which quickly gained popularity among the fans with the release of the first season. The third season will mark the last one for the anime series and while some fans are sad, it's truly a natural ending to this great series. The story follows youth with pyrokinetic abilities, who join the firefighting squad to stop pyro monsters threatening Tokyo and its citizens. The final season will be released in two cours: first in April of 2025, second in January of 2026. Something to look forward to!

Lazarus

Lazarus is an upcoming anime series that is probably the most hyped-up anime of the season, namely because of the involvement of legendary director Shinichirō Watanabe, who was the man behind the illustrious Cowboy Bebop anime. The trailers for the series are already out but what we know of this project is that it is set in the utopian year 2052. Dr. Skinner discovered a miracle drug that was later confirmed that if ingested, people are going to die. A special task force tries to stop Skinner and find an antidote that is symbolically called 'Lazarus.' Cool premise and combining that with the style of animation that we saw in the trailer, Watanabe could truly release something special for us after legendary series that is Cowboy Bebop.
