Sarada Finally In the Spotlight in Boruto Two Blue Vortex

For a long time, fans of Boruto have been waiting for the moment when Sarada Uchiha would truly step into the spotlight. And with the recent events in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, it finally feels like that time has come. In the buildup to Chapter 21, we’re seeing Sarada show off her power, leadership, and resolve in a way that’s been long overdue.
Sarada's Time Arrived
Sarada has always had the potential. As the daughter of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, she carries the legacy of two of Konoha’s strongest shinobi. But for most of the series, she’s been stuck in a frustrating position—often sidelined, or worse, turned into the damsel in distress, with Boruto swooping in to save the day.
That trope grew tiresome for many fans. Boruto Uzumaki—being the protagonist—naturally got most of the attention, but it often came at the expense of Sarada’s own development. She was shown as capable and smart, but rarely had moments to prove her strength in serious battles. Too often, she felt like she was there just to react to Boruto’s heroics.

Mangekyō Sharingan Awakens
Now, things are changing. With the return of the Mangekyō Sharingan in a big way, Sarada is finally stepping out of Boruto’s shadow. We’ve already seen how powerful the dojutsu can be through characters like Itachi, Shisui, and Obito. In particular, Kamui, Obito and Kakashi’s space-time technique, stood out as one of the most dangerous and unique Uchiha abilities.
Sarada’s new ability might be in a similar realm. In a recent chapter, she seemingly teleports or removes Ryu’s iron sand, possibly sending it into another dimension. It’s not exactly confirmed as Kamui, but it’s clear she’s working with some high-level, space-altering jutsu—and she’s using it confidently, in the middle of battle.
Hopefully 'Damsel In Distress' Trope Will Disappear
But what’s even more important than the jutsu itself is the moment it represents: Sarada isn’t waiting to be rescued anymore. She’s taking the lead, defending her team, and showing the kind of inner strength and combat skill that Uchiha are known for. Her scenes no longer revolve around her feelings for Boruto or worrying about what others are doing. She’s making moves on her own.
She even holds her own against the powerful Shinjus, enemies that have already pushed some of the strongest characters to their limits. And for the first time in a while, it doesn’t feel like the story is holding her back.
Conclusion: Sarada’s Time Is Now
After years of being treated as a side character or just the 'smart teammate,' Sarada Uchiha is finally stepping into her own power. She’s no longer just Boruto’s childhood friend or the daughter of legends—she’s writing her own story. And more importantly, she’s doing it without needing to be saved.
With her Mangekyō Sharingan awakening and what looks like a powerful new ability, Sarada’s becoming one of the most exciting characters to watch in Two Blue Vortex. Her battle against the Shinjus, her emotional strength, and her growing leadership all point to a future where she’s a main force in the shinobi world—not just support. This is the Sarada fans have been waiting for. And from the looks of it, she’s only just getting started.
